With the seemingly never ending to-do list pervading our culture, it’s very easy to be distracted and let some important aspects of our lives fade to the background and become ‘white noises’. That’s what North Carolina based post-hardcore bad My Epic is stressing in their new single “White Noises”. “White Noise” is the first single My Epic has released from their upcoming EP Violence. The single features Cory Brandan of Norma Jean.
When describing “White Noises” vocalist and guitarist Aaron Stone said, “White Noises is a parable about total lack of empathy. Lately it seems that engaging one another on a human level with dignity, decency, and humility is considered some form of selling out.” About the upcoming EP Violence, he said, “It’s a record about loss, confusion, anger, authenticity, addiction, and the hope that comes from staring right back. We’ve written a lot of records about the importance of celebrating and valuing the beautiful truths but it’s just as important to condemn the ugly ones. There is a time for rejoicing, for resting, for peace, and there is a time for violence.”
Violence will be released on May 10. My Epic has not released any other tracks from the EP but if they’re anything like “White Noises”, I’m sure that they’ll be well made and well written. You can pre-order the Violence and pick up so other merch on their site.
